A frosty good farmer
A slight freeze has returned to the Jura. When I walked through the vineyard this week, I saw the pale green baby leaves that have unfurled, burnt crispy brown by nights of frost. Where the buds are still in their protective shell, the outer leaves have turned grey, signalling they are no longer viable.
